What is Iremia Recovery?
We are a wellness and recovery centre. We help you pause your mind and reset your body. We offer a magnesium hot pool, a cold‐plunge pool, traditional rock sauna, infrared sauna, and NormaTec-style compression therapy. Our mission is to make high‐quality recovery sessions uncomplicated, accessible and affordable for locals
Do I have to book in?
We do recommend booking before heading in, especially during peak times. To make sure everyone has a calm, enjoyable experience, we cap how many people can be in the space at once. Booking ahead guarantees your spot and lets us prepare everything for your visit.
Do I need to book ahead or can I just walk in?
We have a range of options for you to book depending on what you are after. For our recovery room sessions you can enjoy access to the hot pool, the cold plunge, traditional sauna and showers. You can book these for 30, 60 or 90 minutes. Our compression sessions and infrared sauna sessions can be booked separately. Fancy them all? Enjoy our Day Package for access to all three areas during your time.
What are your opening hours?
We are open 7 days a week, 6am - 9pm.
Where are you located and is there parking?
We are located at 131 Rainbow St, Sandgate. There is ample street parking along this road for easy access.

What do I need to bring?
Please bring appropriate swimwear for the recovery area and infrared sauna, and something comfortable to wear if you’re booked in for a compression session. We provide towels and chilled water for your visit, so you can simply arrive ready to relax and recover. Most visitors wear something easy to slip off on arrival however changing rooms are provided for pre and post session if required. We have a storage area for you to leave your belongings in while you enjoy your session.
Do I need to be an athlete or very fit to use your services?
Not at all. While many athletes and regular gym‐goers visit (great for muscle recovery, circulation, etc.), our services are also perfect for anyone wanting rest, reset and restoration. Whether you’re training hard or simply dealing with day‐to‐day muscle tightness, stress or recovery needs.
What is contrast therapy?
Contrast therapy is the practice of alternating between hot and cold temperatures to help your body recover faster. The heat relaxes your muscles and boosts circulation, while the cold reduces inflammation and resets your nervous system.
Can I come alone?
Of course! Iremia can be a beautiful space to enjoy on your own or to share with your partner, friends, or family. Some guests come solo for quiet downtime and reflection, while others come together for a shared recovery ritual. However you choose to experience it, the space is yours to unwind and reset.
Do you cater for first timers?
Absolutely, our team will walk you through how everything works on your first visit. You’ll receive guidance on safe use of the pools, saunas and compression therapy so you feel comfortable. If you’ve never done contrast therapy before, go at your own pace, ask staff for tips and refer to the signs in the space for extra guidance too!
Can I bring a friend?
Yes absolutely, you can book multiple people on our online booking system.
Are there any medical conditions that may affect my visit?
As with any sauna, hot/cold plunge or contrast therapy, please consult your doctor if you have any of the below.
